''Spectrum of Death'' is the debut album by American band Morbid Saint. Overview ''Spectrum of Death'' is actually a reissue of the band's 1988 demo ''Lock Up Your Children'', which was licensed by Edge Entertainment to Mexican label Avanzada Metálica, who re-released it as a full-length studio album under the title ''Spectrum of Death'' in 1989; however, the album was not released in other territories until years later. It was recorded at Opus Recording (later known as Wave Digital once they removed the 2 inch tape machines in favor of Akai Digital Audio Machines) in Gurnee, Illinois. It was produced by Eric Greif and engineered by Al Pangeliron. Morbid Saint is an American thrash metal band from Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The band is known for being a regular opening act for Florida's Death, one of the progenitors of death metal, as confirmed by Jay Visser, as well as having an influence in the genres of blackened thrash and death metal. After splitting up about half a decade following the release of their debut album ''Spectrum of Death'' (1989), Morbid Saint reunited in 2010 and released their first album in 26 years, ''Destruction System'', in 2015. Sadus is an American thrash metal band from Antioch, California, active from 1985 to 2015, and reunited in 2017. Originally a quartet, the band's sound fuses thrash metal with death metal, featuring highly technical musicianship. Kreator is a German thrash metal band from Essen, formed in 1982. Their current lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Miland "Mille" Petrozza, drummer Jürgen "Ventor" Reil, lead guitarist Sami Yli-Sirniö, and bassist Frédéric Leclercq. The band's lineup has changed multiple times over its -year career, most noticeably with their bassists and lead guitarists.
