Special Reserve Force
The Special Reserve Force is a division with in the Namibian Police Force. Primarily its role is a police tactical unit based on the Special Task Force of the South African Police Service. The unit was a reserve unit within Special Field Force then led by the late Ret Comm Danger Ashipala. They were first called Special Task Force in the early 90 but were disbanded in 96. They reemerged in the late 90 early 2000 and thus were called Reserve Force. Roles They are trained to deal with special operations, riots, terrorism and search and rescue. The division is now in command of Dep/ Comm Sakaria who took over from now regional commander Comm Van Der Byl. Training and Operations Training for the SRF is the toughest in the Namibian Police. Namibian Police Force
The Namibian Police Force (NAMPOL) is the national police force of Namibia. It was established by the Namibian Constitution and enacted by an act of Parliament of Namibia, Parliament. The Namibian Police Force replaced the South West African Police as the national police force of the country in 1990. Sebastian Ndeitunga was its inspector general since 2005 to 2022. Special Task Force (SAPS)
The Special Task Force (STF) is the elite police tactical unit of the South African Police Service (SAPS). The Special Task Force handles high risk operations that fall beyond the scope of classic policing which require specialised skills. History In 1967, about 2,000 members of the South African Police were deployed to guard the northern border of Rhodesia (modern day Zimbabwe) to assist the Rhodesian security forces as guerrilla attacks became more frequent during the Rhodesian Bush War. South African Police Service
The South African Police Service (SAPS) is the national police force of the Republic of South Africa. Its 1,154 police stations in South Africa are divided according to the provincial borders, and a Provincial Commissioner is appointed in each province. Special Field Force
The Special Field Force (SFF) is a Namibian Police Force paramilitary police unit created in 1995 by the late commissioner Ruben "Danger" Ashipala as an auxiliary aggressive unit to complement the Special Reserve Force (SRF). It encompasses border guards, VIP Protection Unit and Installation unit. Approximately half of the Namibian Police's (NAMPOL) overall complement is assigned to the SFF which is made up primarily of combatants from the former People's Liberation Army of Namibia (PLAN) and South West African Territorial Force (SWATF). Among the population the Special Field Force is seen as the less educated and more brutal wing of the Namibian Police. Riot Control

Namibian Special Forces
The Namibian Special Forces is a special operations command of the Namibian Defence Force responsible for special forces and special operations capable units. The command consists of Army commandos, Army Airborne paratroopers and the Marine Corps amphibious special operations unit. The Army commandos specialize in airborne and land borne insertion while the Marine Corps amphibious special operations unit specialize in small-unit maritime operations that originate from a river, ocean, swamp and delta.
