Benedict Okwuchukwu Godwin Chijioke (17 August 1972 – 7 May 2020), better known by his stage name Ty , was a Nigerian-British rapper. He released the albums ''Awkward'' (2001), '' Upwards'' (2004), '' Closer'' (2006), '' Special Kind of Fool'' (2010) and ''A Work of Heart'' (2018). ''Upwards'' was nominated for a Mercury Prize. Carroll Thompson is a British lovers rock singer, best known as the "Queen of Lovers Rock" Biography Thompson was born in England and is of Jamaican descent. Thompson undertook classical piano training on the piano and sang in school and church choirs as a girl, but initially studied for a career in pharmacy. She began working as a backing singer at several recording studios after auditioning for Frank Farian's Sugar Cane group. Finn Peters is a flautist and saxophonist. "After the best part of a decade immersed in dance, hip hop, Afro-Cuban, electronica and contemporary classical musics, flautist and saxophonist Finn Peters returned to his jazz roots with ''Su-Ling'' (Babel, 2006)." This was followed by ''Butterflies'', which added "strings, a Balinese gamelan ensemble, kora, synths, a few choruses of birdsong and some inventive sound processing". Vula Malinga (born May 15, 1980) is an American-born British singer. Born in the United States to South African parents, she was raised in Hackney, London. Her religious parents supported her singing talents by allowing her to join the church choir, which resulted in her becoming one of the lead singers for the London Community Gospel Choir. Shaun Escoffery is a British soul and R&B singer and actor. His first major release was the single "Space Rider", released by Oyster Music in March 2001.
