Campobello, South Carolina
Campobello is a town in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, United States, along the South Pacolet River. The population was 502 at the 2010 census. History Campobello was founded in 1840. Campobello is a name derived from Italian meaning "beautiful field". A post office called Campobello has been in operation since 1850. Geography Campobello is located at (35.115403, -82.149622). The town is concentrated around the intersection of U.S. Route 176 and South Carolina Highway 357, northwest of Spartanburg, and a few miles south of the North Carolina-South Carolina border. Spartanburg County School District No. 7 (SCSD7) is a public school district in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, US. The district includes most of the city of Spartanburg, as well as all of Ben Avon, Drayton and Whitney, most of Camp Croft, and portions of Arkwright, Hilltop, and Saxon. Led by Superintendent Jeff Stevens, SCSD7 serves more than 7,000 students and employs approximately 1,200 full-time faculty and staff in twelve schools. Chapman High School (Inman, South Carolina)
Chapman High School is a high school located in Inman, South Carolina, United States. The current facility opened in 2006, leaving the previous building for its main influx institution, Mabry Junior High, to expand. The current principal is Dr. Andrew McMillan. Chapman is the successor to Inman High School as it was outgrown. The school's mascot is a panther, modified from the "purple treadway" used in the early years of the school's establishment in 1954. The colors and "paw" trademark are very similar to those used by nearby Clemson University in Clemson. The logo is now an orange "Block C" with a blue "Panther Head". The school colors are Orange and Blue. There is a wide array of sports, arts programs and social opportunities, including the Chapman Panthers football team and the National Beta Club. Landrum is a city in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 2,376 at the 2010 census. Landrum was founded in 1880 and incorporated in 1912. It is located just west of Interstate 26 between Spartanburg and Asheville, North Carolina. History The Landrum area was settled ''circa'' 1760 by homesteaders from Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. There, they built a fort approximately two miles from the current City of Landrum.
