''Spanish Serenade'' (Spanish: ''Ronda española'') is a 1952 Spanish musical film directed by Ladislao Vajda, and starring José Isbert and Manolo Morán. The film was a success on its release.Bentley p. 87 Plot Many women from the Women's Section of the Falange in the 50's went to America by boat to show the folklore of Spain in all their countries. The show was an entertainment for the émigrés who were on the other side of the Atlantic. The women left their homes and embarked on "Mount Albertia". On the boat trip, the relationship between all the crew members was the most fun, although many of them longed for their place of origin. Wherever they go, luck is on their side. Ladislao Vajda
Ladislao Vajda (born Weisz László; 18 August 1906, Budapest – 25 March 1965, Barcelona) was a Hungarian-Spanish film director who made films in Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Italy and West Germany. Biography He was born in Budapest, his father being an actor and screenwriter. Vajda started his career as film editor (even though he also worked as artistic designer and writer) for different directors, such as Billy Wilder and Henry Koster. Eventually, he undertook his first directorial effort in his native country, Hungary. Before World War II he became established in Italy, where he directed two movies: ''La zia smemorata'' (1940) and ' (1941). Finally, he moved to Spain, where he continued directing films. The first film from his Spanish period was ''Se vende un palacio'' ('' A Palace for Sale''), released in 1943. Elvira Quintillá (19 September 1928 – 27 December 2013) was a Spanish actress, whose career spanned over six decades. Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Quintillá began her acting career in 1941, appearing on stage. Alejandro Millán (born July 10, 1980, Monterrey, Mexico) is the singer, keyboardist, and composer for band Hello Madness. After winning a music production contest by CONARTE, he released the album "Light and Life After Dusk". He founded the progressive band Elfonía in 2002, releasing the albums ''Elfonía'' and ''This Sonic Landscape''.
