Women's Lacrosse World Cup
The World Lacrosse Women's World Championship (WLWWC), formerly known as the Women's Lacrosse World Cup (WLWC), the international championship of women's lacrosse, is held every four years. From its inception in 1982, it was sponsored by the governing body for women's lacrosse, the International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Associations, until that body merged in 2008 with the former governing body for men's lacrosse. Since 2009, the WLWC has been sponsored by the sport's new unified governing body, the Federation of International Lacrosse. 2021 Women's Lacrosse World Cup
The 2022 World Lacrosse Women's World Championship, the 11th Women's World Championship (previously known as the Women's Lacrosse World Cup), is the preeminent international women's lacrosse tournament. The tournament was held at Towson University in Towson, Maryland, United States. Originally scheduled for July 2021, the tournament was postponed a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hosting The United States was announced as hosts of the tournament in February 2018. Games were hosted at Towson University in Towson, Maryland. 2019 Women's European Lacrosse Championship
The 2019 Women's Lacrosse European Championship was the 11th edition of this tournament. It was held in Netanya, Israel, from 15 to 25 July 2019. 16 teams joined the tournament. England is the defending champion. Format Teams were divided into three groups, being the group A composed by the six best teams in the previous edition. The four first qualified teams would join the championship playoffs. The rest of the teams would need to achieve a 4–0 balance in their groups for being able to join the playoffs. The European Championships will also be serving as a qualifier for the FIL World Cup for the first time. 15 of the 16 teams competing in Israel this summer are expected to qualify for the next World Cup.
