Spadina–Front GO Station
Spadina–Front GO Station (also referred to as Spadina GO Station) is a planned GO Transit train station to be built by Metrolinx in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as part of the approved GO Transit Regional Express Rail. It will be situated downtown, south of Front Street between Spadina Avenue and Bathurst Street near office and residential towers. The station will be adjacent to the future Rail Deck Park, an urban park proposed by the City of Toronto. The main station entrance is planned for the intersection of Spadina Avenue and Front Street West. Spadina–Front is planned to open in 2024 and will be a stop on the GO Transit Barrie line. SmartTrack
SmartTrack is a municipal proposal to enhance GO Transit rail service within Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It takes advantage of the province's existing GO Transit Regional Express Rail plans. SmartTrack has evolved since it was originally proposed by Toronto mayor John Tory as the centrepiece of his 2014 mayoral election campaign. Originally, SmartTrack was to be a new rapid transit service with 22 stations (of which 14 would be new) along the inner portions of the Kitchener, Lakeshore East and Stouffville GO commuter train corridors. Barrie Line
Barrie is one of the seven train lines of the GO Transit system in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. Rail Deck Park is a proposed large urban park in Downtown, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Announced on August 3, 2016, the park will be set on a constructed deck that encloses the active Railway Lands between Bathurst Street and Blue Jays Way, west of the Rogers Centre. In total, the park will span when constructed. As of November 2017, the City of Toronto estimated the park to cost $1.66 billion. In May 2020, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation released a study saying that once exclusions from the city's estimates are factored in the park would cost more than $3.7 billion. Bathurst Street is a main north–south thoroughfare in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It begins at an intersection of the Queens Quay roadway, just north of the Lake Ontario shoreline. GO Transit Regional Express Rail
GO Expansion, previously known as GO Regional Express Rail (RER), is a project to improve GO Transit train service by adding all-day, two-way service to the inner portions of the Barrie line, Kitchener line and the Stouffville line, and by increasing frequency of train service on various lines to every 15 minutes or better on five of the corridors. This would be achieved with the electrification of at least part of the Lakeshore East line, Lakeshore West line, Barrie line, Kitchener line and Stouffville line. GO Expansion is one of the Big Move rapid transit projects. Spadina Avenue
Spadina Avenue (, less commonly ) is one of the most prominent streets in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Running through the western section of downtown, the road has a very different character in different neighbourhoods. Spadina Avenue runs south from Bloor Street to the Gardiner Expressway, just north of Lake Ontario. Lower Spadina Avenue continues the last block to the lake after the expressway. Another street named Spadina Road continues north from Bloor, but with new street address numbering starting over at zero.
