Spacemaster
''Space Master'' is a science fiction role-playing game produced by Iron Crown Enterprises, written by Kevin Barrett and developed by Kevin Barrett and Terry K. Amthor. History Iron Crown Enterprises published ''Spacemaster'' in 1985. ICE published their new ''Spacemaster: Privateers'' RPG (2000) while in chapter 11. ICE's last remaining role-playing lines - ''Rolemaster'', ''Spacemaster'' and '' Shadow World'' – as well as the ICE brand itself were all that was left by 2001, and everything that was left was sold to John R. Seal of London for $78,000; those rights were then placed into Aurigas Aldebaron LLC, which is a holding company that takes on no debt and is solely intended to hold the ICE properties. Iron Crown Enterprises (ICE) is a publishing company that has produced role playing, board, miniature, and collectible card games since 1980. Many of ICE's better-known products were related to J. R. R. Tolkien's world of Middle-earth, but the ''Rolemaster'' rules system, and its science-fiction equivalent, '' Space Master'', have been the foundation of ICE's business. History Early years and ''Rolemaster'' In college in the late 1970s, while running a six-year ''Dungeons & Dragons'' campaign set in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, Pete Fenlon, S. ''Cyberspace'' is a cyberpunk role-playing game published by Iron Crown Enterprises and using a somewhat modified version of their ''Spacemaster'' ruleset. Description The primary setting of ''Cyberspace'' is the urban sprawl around San Francisco in the year 2090. Publication history The game was written by Tod Foley, who also worked on a number of Iron Crown's Spacemaster supplements. The game was out of print and unavailable for a number of years around the turn of the millennium, but is now available, with all of its supplements, from the publisher's homepage in a PDF format. Kevin Barrett (game Designer)
Kevin Barrett is a game designer who has worked primarily on role-playing games. Career Kevin Barrett collaborated with Terry K. Amthor in the creation of ''Spacemaster'' (1985), the science-fiction version of ''Rolemaster'', which also had a second edition in 1988. The first miniatures game from Iron Crown Enterprises was Barrett's ''Silent Death'' (1990), which initially used the ''Spacemaster'' background. By 1992, Barrett had left ICE. ''Rolemaster'' (originally ''Role Master'') is a tabletop role-playing game published by Iron Crown Enterprises since 1980. Editions ''Rolemaster'' has a total of four editions. First edition (RM1): 1980–1982 This edition includes the original versions of ''Arms Law'', '' Claw Law'', '' Spell Law'', ''Character Law'' and '' Campaign Law''. These were available initially as individual books, and later as combined volumes and in boxed sets. Second edition (RM2): 1984–1994 In 1984, an initial boxed set was issued containing both expanded and revised rules. Shadow World (role Playing Game)
''Shadow World'' is a high-fantasy campaign setting situated on the fictional planet of Kulthea. Originally produced for the Rolemaster role-playing game system, Shadow World is equally suited for the HARP Role-playing system, published since 2003. The setting blends traditional fantasy elements, such as elves, dwarves, and magic, with science fiction, including such elements as space and time travel, and, to a degree, futuristic technology. As Rolemaster and HARP, Shadow World is owned by Iron Crown Enterprises (often referred to as I.C.E.). It is currently maintained by the primary author of the setting, Terry K. Mjolnir LLC was a company that produced licensed products of the defunct game company Iron Crown Enterprises (I.C.E.) under an agreement with Aurigas Aldebaron LLC, who had purchased I.C.E.'s assets following its bankruptcy. History Iron Crown Enterprises (I.C.E.) was a game company that produced role-playing, board, miniature, and collectible card games such as ''Middle-earth Role Playing'', ''Rolemaster'', and ''Spacemaster'' for twenty years. When I.C.E. went bankrupt in 2000, holding company Aurigas Aldebaron LLC purchased the rights to I.C.E.'s name and intellectual properties. Iron () is a chemical element with symbol Fe (from la, ferrum) and atomic number 26. It is a metal that belongs to the first transition series and group 8 of the periodic table.
