Sołtys (video Game)
''Sołtys'' (English: ''Mayor'') is a Polish point and click adventure game by LK Avalon which was released for MS-DOS on May 23, 1995. Plot The player is the head of a village called Poraż, who must convince Leon, the husband-to-be of the player's daughter, to return to the wedding that he has run away from. Development ''Computer Laboratory Avalon'' began life in 1989 as a garage company by two nineteen-year-olds (Tomasz Pazdan and Janusz Pelc) out of their flat in Rzeszów. Their first title was '' Robbo'', and they had issues with distribution, recording the game on second-hand cassettes which they bought from a bookstore and recorded over, and finances. Managing to survive thanks to a large order from Centralna Składnica Harcerska, 6 years later they decided to make Sołtys. LK Avalon
Laboratorium Komputerowe Avalon (lit. "Computer Laboratory Avalon"), abbreviated LK Avalon, was a Polish software developer and distributor, with product range encompassing video games, educational software and other applications. History The company was founded in mid-1989 by 19 years old schoolmates Tomasz Pazdan and Janusz Pelc, fresh after passing their matura exams, in order to publish Pelc's Atari XL/XE game ''Robbo''. In 1990 Mirosław Liminowicz joined the company, and replaced Pelc as partner in the company when the latter left Avalon the same year. LK Avalon followed the success of ''Robbo'' with other games and applications for the Atari XL/XE. MS-DOS ( ; acronym for Microsoft Disk Operating System, also known as Microsoft DOS) is an operating system for x86-based personal computers mostly developed by Microsoft. Robbo (video Game)
''Robbo'' is a puzzle video game designed by Janusz Pelc and published by LK Avalon in 1989 for the Atari 8-bit family. A success on the Polish domestic market, it was later ported to other computer platforms and released in the United States as ''The Adventures of Robbo''. Gameplay The game's design was partly inspired by ''Boulder Dash'', but with the gravity aspect removed. The player controls the titular little robot through a series of planets (56 in the original Atari version), each being a vertically-scrolling maze filled with various objects and obstacles. The goal of each level is to collect a preset number of bolts scattered around (there could be extra bolts on the map, and bolts could also be acquired from random item generators), and then reach a capsule that takes the hero to the next planet. Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion Virtual Machine (ScummVM) is a set of game engine recreations. Originally designed to play LucasArts adventure games that use the SCUMM system, it also supports a variety of non-SCUMM games by companies like Revolution Software and Adventure Soft. It was originally written by Ludvig Strigeus. Released under the terms of the GNU General Public License, ScummVM is free software.
