Soy El Mismo (Prince Royce Album)
''Soy El Mismo'' (English: "I'm the Same") is the third studio album by American singer Prince Royce. The album was released on October 8, 2013, by Sony Music Latin and became Royce's third number 1 on the ''Billboard'' Top Latin Albums chart in the United States. With ''Soy el Mismo'', Royce also reached a career-best peak of number 14 on the US ''Billboard'' 200. The album was preceded by the release of its lead single, "Darte un Beso", on July 15, 2013. The single became Royce's fourth to reach number-one on the ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Songs chart in the United States. "Darte un Beso" also reached number-one on multiple Latin music sub-charts in the US and was certified 3× Platinum (Latin) by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Prince Royce
Geoffrey Royce Rojas (born May 11, 1989), known professionally as Prince Royce, is an American singer. At an early age, Royce took an interest in music, and in his teenage years began experimenting with music and writing poetry. By age nineteen, Royce met Andrés Hidalgo, who became his manager. Hidalgo later introduced Royce to record producer Sergio George, who immediately signed him to his label after hearing three of his demos. In March 2010, Royce released his eponymous debut studio album, which generated two commercially successful singles, " Stand by Me" and "Corazón Sin Cara". In the United States, both songs reached number-one on the ''Billboard'' Tropical Songs chart, while "Corazón Sin Cara" reached number-one on the ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Songs chart. The ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Songs (formerly Hot Latin Tracks and Hot Latin 50) is a record chart in the United States for Latin songs, published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. Since October 2012, chart rankings are based on digital sales, radio airplay, and online streaming, and only predominantly Spanish language songs are allowed to rank. The chart was established by the magazine on September 6, 1986, and was originally based on airplay on Latin music radio stations. Songs on the chart were not necessarily in Spanish language, since a few songs in English and Portuguese language have also charted. The first number one song of the Hot Latin Songs chart was "La Guirnalda" by Rocío Dúrcal on September 6, 1986.
