Soviet Destroyer Neulovimy
''Neulovimy'' was the second ship of the of the Soviet Navy. Construction and career The ship was built at Zhdanov Shipyard in Leningrad and was launched on 27 February 1958 and commissioned on 30 December 1958. On March 8, 1960, she was included in the Red Banner Baltic Fleet (KBF). On May 19, 1966, she was reclassified into a Large Missile Ship (DBK), on January 26, 1973 - into a Large Anti-Submarine Ship (BOD), and on August 3, 1977, it was again returned to the DBK class. In 1969, she carried out a mission to the coast of Africa, where it paid a visit to Conakry, Guinea in February, and to Lagos, Nigeria in March. After returning, on April 7, 1969, she was assigned to the Red Banner Black Sea Fleet (KChF). Elusive
"Elusive" was the first single for British singer-songwriter Scott Matthews and was released on 18 September 2006. The single received much airplay from BBC Radio DJs Jo Whiley, Dermot O'Leary and Zane Lowe between 7 and 10 August. Lowe also played "Elusive" once each night as his chosen Single of the Week. Matthews also visited the station to perform "Elusive" and other songs from the album in May and August 2006. In May 2007, he won the Ivor Novello Award for " Best Song Musically and Lyrically" which saw "Elusive" beat strong competition from the likes of the Arctic Monkeys. The track was used in 2008 by UK television company Channel 4 for the advertising campaign surrounding the final season of ''The Sopranos'', which aired exclusively on their digital channel E4. ''Druzhny'' (russian: link=no, italics=yes, Дружный, "Friendly") was a Project 1135 Burevestnik-class Large Anti-Submarine Ship (, BPK) or Krivak-class frigate. Launched on 22 January 1975, the vessel served with the Soviet Navy until it was dissolved and then was transferred to the Russian Navy. After being retired on 10 April 2002, there was an unsuccessful attempt to refit the warship as a shopping and leisure facility, but instead the vessel was scrapped. ''Silnyy'' or ''Silny'' (russian: link=no, italics=yes, Сильный, "Strong") was a Soviet Navy Project 1135 Burevestnik-class Large Anti-Submarine Ship (, BPK) or Krivak-class frigate. Displacing full load, the vessel was built around the Metel anti-submarine missile system. Launched on 29 August 1972, ''Silnyy'' served with the Baltic Fleet. The vessel undertook a number of visits to nations friendly to the Soviet Union, including Cape Verde, Cuba, East Germany and Poland. In 1976, while escorting the aircraft carrier , the ship had a close encounter with the cruiser , although neither vessel was damaged. ''Silnyy'' was taken out of service for repairs in 1990. However, lack of funds meant that, instead, the ship was decommissioned on 30 June 1994 and broken up. ''Bedovy'' was the lead ship of the of the Soviet Navy. Construction and career The ship was built at Zhdanov Shipyard in Leningrad and was launched on 31 July 1955 and commissioned on 30 June 1958.
