Southwest Oregon Regional Airport
Southwest Oregon Regional Airport , formerly North Bend Municipal Airport, is a public airport in North Bend, Coos County, Oregon, United States. It is operated by the Coos County Airport District. OTH covers 619 acres (251 ha) of land. The airport changed its name in April 2006 to avoid confusion with Bend, in central Oregon. It is the only airport on the Oregon Coast with passenger service. North Bend/Coos Bay is served by United Express ( SkyWest) which flies nonstop to San Francisco International Airport (since about July 2008); before the SFO flights, United Express flew OTH to Portland International Airport non-stop. This ended on February 16, 2012. United Express also has a seasonal nonstop flight to Denver. In January 2012 now defunct SeaPort Airlines began daily flights to Portland; by early 2016 SeaPort announced that they were ending their service to North Bend/Coos Bay. McNary Field
McNary Field (Salem Municipal Airport) is in Marion County, Oregon, United States, two miles southeast of downtown Salem, which owns it. The airport is named for U.S. Senator Charles L. McNary. McNary Field has had scheduled airline flights, including service on Delta Air Lines that ended in October 2008. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a ''primary commercial service'' facility based on enplanements in 2008 (more than 10,000 per year). Federal Aviation Administration records say the airport had 15,205 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008, an increase from 12,979 in 2007. Roseburg Regional Airport
Roseburg Regional Airport is in Douglas County, Oregon, United States, a mile northwest of Roseburg, Oregon, Roseburg, which owns it. As of 1998 it is also known as Major General Marion E. Carl Memorial Field, named after Marion Eugene Carl (1915–1998). History 1928: The original land acquisition for the establishment of the "Roseburg Aviation Park" occurred in 1928, with additional property purchased in 1929. This brought the airport and aviation park area to about 100 acres, with additional property made available for industrial development. Funding for the initial purchase was achieved through a successful bond initiative, spearheaded by the Umpqua Post of the American Legion. The bond measure provided $25,000. Twelve thousand of this sum purchased the properties and thirteen thousand was used for hangar construction, drainage improvements, and the initial runway construction. Hillsboro Airport , also known as Portland–Hillsboro Airport, is a corporate, general aviation and flight-training airport serving the city of Hillsboro, in Washington County, Oregon, United States. Del Norte County Regional Airport (Jack McNamara Field) is a public airport three miles northwest of Crescent City, in Del Norte County, California, United States. It has one airline flight per day to and from Oakland under the Essential Air Service program. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a ''primary commercial service'' airport (i.e. more than 10,000 enplanements per year). History The airfield was used during World War II as Crescent City Outlying Field supporting Naval Air Station Alameda. and a naval radio station at Point Saint George. High-frequency direction finding (HFDF) was used for radio intercept. These sites along the coast could track Japanese warships and merchant marine vessels as far away as the Western Pacific. Corvallis Municipal Airport is five miles southwest of Corvallis, in Benton County, Oregon. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a ''general aviation'' facility. The airport offers full service and self serve fuel: 100LL and Jet A. Maintenance is available on the ramp; helicopter and fixed-wing flight instruction is available through Corvallis Aero Service. History The site was built during World War II by the United States Army Air Forces for bomber training as Corvallis Army Airfield. The original hangar is still in use.
