Southview Hospital
Kettering Health Washington Township, formerly known as Southview Medical Center, is an acute care hospital in Washington Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, United States, at the junction of State Route 725 and Interstate 675. It is part of the Kettering Health network. It features a maternity center, intensive care unit, catheter laboratory, endoscopy/colonoscopy center and the Hand Center of Southwest Ohio, a specialized center for the treatment of hand injuries. The only facility of its kind in Southwest Ohio, the Hand Center has five Board certified hand surgeons and a full therapy staff and physical therapy area. Kettering Health, formerly known as Kettering Health Network and Kettering Medical Center Network, is a nonprofit network of fourteen Dayton and Cincinnati area medical centers, Kettering College, and 120 outpatient facilities. The system is based in Dayton, Ohio, United States. The network was formed following the merger of Kettering Medical Center and Grandview Medical Center in 1999. As part of the 2021 renaming of Kettering Health Network to Kettering Health, all of the hospitals in the network were renamed, with the exception of Soin. In addition, Kettering Physician Network was renamed Kettering Health Medical Group. Kettering Health has over 12,000 employees and 2,100 physicians. A suburb of Dayton, Washington Township is the largest of nine townships of Montgomery County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 56,607, with 32,610 persons residing within the unincorporated portion of the township, and 23,997 persons residing within the city of Centerville. State Route 725 (SR 725) is an east–west state highway in the southwestern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its western terminus is at the Indiana state line approximately west of Camden at the eastern terminus of Indiana State Road 44; and its eastern terminus is at US 42 just south of Spring Valley. Interstate 675 (Ohio)
Interstate 675 (I-675) is an auxiliary Interstate Highway in the suburbs of Dayton in the US state of Ohio. I-675 serves as an eastern bypass of Dayton that is long. As originally proposed, the route was to reconnect with I-75 north of Dayton near Northridge rather than going east toward Springfield and I-70 (this was later rejected because part of the right-of-way would have gone through Wright-Patterson Air Force Base). Construction was completed in 1987, though some have lobbied to extend the highway west of Dayton. Colonoscopy () or coloscopy () is the endoscopic examination of the large bowel and the distal part of the small bowel with a CCD camera or a fiber optic camera on a flexible tube passed through the anus. It can provide a visual diagnosis (''e.g.,'' ulceration, polyps) and grants the opportunity for biopsy or removal of suspected colorectal cancer lesions.
