The Southland Conference baseball tournament is the conference championship tournament in baseball for the Southland Conference. The winner of the tournament receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I baseball tournament. Tournament The Southland Conference Baseball Tournament is a double-elimination tournament held annually at various locations in the Southland Conference region. Before the departure of five members following the 2021 season, the eight teams with the best conference record at the end of the regular season earned berths in the tournament. Starting in 2022, all conference members will participate in the tournament (unless banned due to NCAA sanctions). The winner receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I baseball tournament. Fair Grounds Field
Fair Grounds Field is a baseball stadium in Shreveport, Louisiana, located next to Independence Stadium on the Louisiana State Fair Grounds just off Interstate 20. Fair Grounds Field opened in 1986 and underwent renovations in 1999, 2009, and 2011. The stadium has a seating capacity of 4,200 people. Fair Grounds Field currently does not have a primary tenant. In the past it has most notably served as the home field of the Shreveport Captains, Shreveport Swamp Dragons, Shreveport-Bossier Sports, and Shreveport-Bossier Captains minor league and independent baseball teams. Natchitoches ( ; french: link=no, Les Natchitoches) is a small city and the parish seat of Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, United States. Beaumont is a coastal city in the U.S. state of Texas.
