The South Shore () is the general term for the suburbs of Montreal, Quebec located on the southern shore of the Saint Lawrence River opposite the Island of Montreal. The South Shore is a neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania South Side. The South Shore consists of the area surrounding Carson Street, from the West End Bridge to the Liberty Bridge. The South Shore is an industrial neighborhood, home to several warehouses. The neighborhood is primarily made up of the popular Station Square, a mixed-use historic preservation development of the former Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad and surrounding areas, conceptualized by Arthur P. Southshore is an eastern suburb within Christchurch, New Zealand. It is rich in wildlife and forestry. Although it was called Southshore informally for some years previously, it was named formally in 1955. The area was damaged in the 2011 Christchurch earthquake and 198 properties were zoned red. South Shore, Blackpool
South Shore is the southern coastal area of Blackpool, an English seaside resort in the county of Lancashire. It has a large local community and a number of tourist attractions. Blackpool Pleasure Beach is in the heart of South Shore. Developed from a gypsy camp, the amusement park's first building was constructed in 1904. The area is also home to South Pier. The Blackpool Tramway runs along the seaward side of the promenade to its terminus at Starr Gate. The South Shore is a geographical term applied to the area in the New York City borough of Staten Island, south and east of the island's ridge of hills (and Richmond Creek and Fresh Kills south of Historic Richmond Town) along the waterfront and adjacent areas from the Narrows to the mouth of the Arthur Kill.
