South Fremantle Senior High School
South Fremantle Senior High School (SFSHS) is a former comprehensive public co-educational high day school, that was located in Beaconsfield, south-east of Fremantle in the south-western suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The school operated from 1967 until its closure in 2017. Plans to close the school and merge students with Hamilton Senior High School to form Fremantle College were announced in December 2014. The larger number of students would allow for more opportunities and subjects for students. The school was closed permanently at the end of the 2017 school year. Prior to its closure, the school's catchment area covered most of the City of Fremantle and, as at Semester 2, 2013, the school had an enrolment of 324 students between Year 8 and Year 12, 28 (8.8%) of whom were Indigenous Australians. Hilton, Western Australia
Hilton is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Fremantle. The suburb has an eclectic mixture of weatherboard, fibro and brick dwellings. The suburb is undergoing extensive urban renewal and recently more three and four-bedroom, two-bathroom homes have been built. North Lake Senior Campus is a public co-educational high day school, located in , a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. History North Lake Senior High School opened in Kardinya on 4 February 1973 on its present campus at Winterfold Road (known then as Torquil Road). Before opening in Kardinya, the school operated for Year 8 students on the Melville Senior High School campus. It was initially going to be named Kardinya High School, but the name was changed before opening to show that its catchment covers the suburbs surrounding Kardinya as well. The school had 165 Year 8 and 9 students in 1973. Upon opening, the facilities constructed were an administration block, a science and mathematics block, a canteen, a gymnasium and a library. Hamilton Hill, Western Australia
Hamilton Hill is a suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, located southwest the central business district. Its local government area is the City of Cockburn. History The earliest known settler at Hamilton Hill was Sydney Smith, the agent of Captain George Robb. Robb arrived in Western Australia in 1830 and took up land south of Fremantle. During the next twelve months Smith was actively engaged in establishing Robb's farm. In a letter dated 27 August 1830, he gives his address as Hamilton Hill. The origin of the name, and whether it was Robb or Smith who did the naming, remains uncertain but the area has been known as such ever since.
