South Dakota Highway 17 (SD 17) is a state highway in southeastern South Dakota, United States. It runs along the eastern edge of Lennox. SD 17 formerly continued south to what is now SD 46 near Centerville, and north to SD 42 west of Sioux Falls. South Dakota Highway 44
South Dakota Highway 44 (SD 44) is a state highway in southern South Dakota that runs from U.S. Route 385 (US 385) west of Rapid City to Interstate 29 (I-29) south of Sioux Falls. It is just more than long. Route description SD 44 begins at a junction with US 385 and heads along a curvy road in a general southeasterly direction through the Black Hills National Forest. It curves to the east and leaves the forest, then bends back to the southeast and clips the northeastern corner of the forest before leaving it permanently and entering Rapid City, where it is known as Jackson Boulevard. In the western outskirts of Rapid City, the highway curves to the northeast and passes north of Canyon Lake before crossing Rapid Creek. A decommissioned highway is a highway that has been removed from service by being shut down, or has had its authorization as a national, provincial or state highway removed, the latter also referred to as downloading. Decommissioning can include the complete or partial demolition or abandonment of an old highway structure because the old roadway has lost its utility, but such is not always the norm. South Dakota Highway 15 (SD 15) is a state highway in the northeastern South Dakota, United States. It connects Clear Lake, Milbank, and Wilmot. SD 15 originally traveled from the Nebraska state line to the North Dakota state line. It followed what would eventually become U.S. Route 77 (US 77), which had been designated before 1931. Part of its path went north from Wilmot to Sisseton, then north to Hammer, along US 81's former path, west to Claire City, north to the North Dakota state line north of Claire City, where it met North Dakota Highway 18 (ND 18).
