South Carolina Highway 53
South Carolina Highway 53 (SC 53) is a state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The highway connects Shiloh with rural areas of Sumter County. Route description SC 53 begins at an intersection with US 378 (Myrtle Beach Highway) southwest of Shiloh, within Sumter County. It travels to the northeast, through rural areas of the county, and curves to a nearly due east direction. It intersects SC 58 (Pleasant Grove Road), and the two highways begin a concurrency. They have an interchange with Interstate 95 (I-95), where they enter Shiloh. Approximately later, SC 53 splits off to the south, onto Pudding Swamp Road. SC 53 continues through rural areas of the county to an intersection with SC 341 (Mt. Zion Road). South Carolina Highway 341 (SC 341) is a state highway that travels through the northeastern part of the U.S. state of South Carolina. It travels diagonally from the southeast to northwest (but signed as north–south) from SC 41 and SC 51 in Johnsonville to U.S. Route 521 Business (US 521 Bus.) and US 601 Bus. in Kershaw. Route description SC 341 begins at the intersection of Georgetown Highway (SC 41/SC 51) and Broadway Street in central Johnsonville. A decommissioned highway is a highway that has been removed from service by being shut down, or has had its authorization as a national, provincial or state highway removed, the latter also referred to as downloading. An official alternate route is a special route in the United States that provides an alternate alignment for a highway. They are loop roads and found in many road systems in the United States including the U.S. Highway system and various state and county route systems. Interstate 95 In South Carolina
Interstate 95 (I-95) is a major Interstate Highway, running along the East Coast of the United States from Florida to Maine. In South Carolina, I-95 runs approximately parallel to the Atlantic Ocean shore although about inland, from Hardeeville in the south to Dillon in the northeast. The route runs through the cities of Florence and Walterboro. Route description For the most part, the drive is fairly benign, passing through the pine forests, farmlands, and blackwater streams and swamps of the Atlantic Plain.
