South Carolina Highway 191 (SC 191) is a state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The highway connects Warrenville and Johnston. Route description SC 191 begins at an intersection with SC 421 (Augusta Road) on the border of two Aiken County census designated places: Warrenville and Gloverville. From this intersection, the roadway continues as Howlandville Road. SC 191 travels to the north-northwest and immediately crosses over a railroad track and the Sand River, and has an interchange with U.S. Route 1 (US 1) and US 78 (Jefferson Davis Highway) on the border of Warrenville and Graniteville. It travels to the north-northeast and crosses over the site of the Graniteville, South Carolina, train crash, in which nine people died when two trains collided in 2005. South Carolina Highway 121
South Carolina Highway 121 (SC 121) is a major state highway that travels north and south in central parts of the U.S. state of South Carolina. The highway is actually part of a long multi-state highway that also exists in Florida and Georgia, as Florida State Road 121 and Georgia State Route 121, respectively. Itserves as a ''de facto'' auxiliary route from U.S. Route 21 (US 21) in Rock Hill. Efforts to have the road upgraded to such status have failed however. A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Other terminology for a concurrency includes overlap, coincidence, duplex (two concurrent routes), triplex (three concurrent routes), multiplex (any number of concurrent routes), dual routing or triple routing. Vaucluse, South Carolina
Vaucluse is an unincorporated community in Aiken County in the U.S. state of South Carolina. Vaucluse is part of the Augusta, Georgia metropolitan area. History Three miles from Graniteville and from Aiken, Vaucluse is the site of the pioneering Horse Creek Valley textile mill. Employing 50 'operatives' on 1500 spindles and 25 looms, the mill was incorporated by local planter Christian Breithaupt in 1833, with later investors George McDuffie, John Bauskett, and William Gregg.
