Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. Play ends once the shuttlecock has struck the floor or if a fault has been called by the umpire, service judge, or (in their absence) the opposing side. The shuttlecock is a feathered or (in informal matches) plastic projectile which flies differently from the balls used in many other sports. Citra Putri Sari Dewi (born 2 August 1996) is an Indonesian-born Singaporean badminton player. Born in Jakarta, she started playing badminton at age 6, and in 2008, she was part of the Riau Islands province competed at the Indonesia National Games. She moved to Singapore to continue her studies, and graduated from the Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' School. Josephine Wu
Josephine Yuenling Wu (born 20 January 1995) is a Canadian badminton player. She clinched three Pan American Games gold medals by winning the mixed doubles title in 2019 and 2023, and also the women's doubles title in 2023. At the Pan Am Championships, she won seven golds, and five silver medals since her debut at the tournament in 2016. Kim Sa-rang (Hangul: 김사랑; ; born 22 August 1989) is a South Korean badminton player. He competed at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics. Career Kim Sa-rang started playing badminton when he was in elementary school, and his international debut on the Osaka International tournament. He joined the Korea national badminton team in 2008. At that year, he won the Australia International Challenge tournament in the men's doubles event partnered with Choi Sang-won. In 2011, he won the Turkey International tournament in the men's doubles event with Kim Gi-jung. In 2012, he and Kim Gi-jung won their first Superseries title at the Japan Open tournament. Together with Jun Bong-chan, he won the 2015 Thailand International Challenge tournament after beat Indonesian pair in the final. Natsuki Nidaira
is a Japanese badminton player. In the national event, she play for the Tonami Transportation. Career Nidaira came from the Mito, Ibaraki, and started playing badminton at aged five. Since the elementary school she has won several national championships, and in 2009, she joined the Japanese junior team. In 2013, she competed at the U-17 Asian Junior Championships, and won the girls' singles gold. After graduating from high school, she joined the Tonami Transportation team. Ng Tze Yong ( zh, 黄智勇, p=; born on 16 May 2000) is a Malaysian badminton player. Ng won a bronze medal in the 2021 Sudirman Cup. Terry Hee Yong Kai (; born 6 July 1995) is a Singaporean badminton player. In mixed doubles with Jessica Tan, Hee won his first World Tour title at the 2022 India Open.
