''Soundtrack of the 80s'' is the fifth studio album by the Australian singer Jason Donovan, released in October 2010. The album consists of cover versions of Donovan's favourite 1980s hits, as well as three new original tracks. The album peaked at no.20 in the UK Albums Chart, though it fell to no.81 in its second week of release, before dropping out of the chart altogether. Jason Sean Donovan (born 1 June 1968) is an Australian actor and singer. He initially achieved fame in the Australian soap ''Neighbours'', playing Scott Robinson, before beginning a career in music in 1988. In the UK he has sold over 3 million records. The Cars
The Cars were an American rock band formed in Boston in 1976. Emerging from the new wave scene in the late 1970s, they consisted of Ric Ocasek ( rhythm guitar), Benjamin Orr (bass guitar), Elliot Easton (lead guitar), Greg Hawkes (keyboards), and David Robinson ( drums). Ocasek and Orr shared lead vocals, and Ocasek was the band's principal songwriter and leader.
