Soundedit Festival
SOUNDEDIT (International Festival of Music Producers and Sound Designers SOUNDEDIT) − an annual, international music festival, festival dedicated to music producers and sound designers. Since its beginning in 2009 in music, 2009, the festival has been taking place in Łódź, Poland. The main award of the festival is The Man with the Golden Ear Award. The main organizer of SOUNDEDIT is Art Industry Foundation established by Marcin Tercjak (a music journalist and Polskie Radio, Radio Łódź presenter) and Maciej Werk (a music producer and the leader of alternative music group Hedone). The chairman of the foundation and the director of the festival is Maciej Werk. Aims of the festival According to the organizers, the festival is an "attempt to honor those who stand behind the tedious process of creating a song or a whole album". Mark Ellis (born 16 August 1960), known by his professional pseudonym Flood, is a British rock and synthpop record producer and audio engineer. Karl Bartos (born 31 May 1952) is a German musician and composer known for his contributions to the electronic band Kraftwerk. Career Karlheinz Bartos was born on 31 May 1952 in Marktschellenberg, Germany, named after his grandfathers Karl and Heinz. He was the drummer in a college band called The Jokers (later The Jolly Jokers in 1975) as Carlos Bartos, around 1965 to 1975. William Otis Laswell (born February 12, 1955) is an American bass guitarist, record producer, and record label owner. He has been involved in thousands of recordings with many collaborators from all over the world. His music draws from funk, world music, jazz, dub, and ambient styles. Haydn Bendall (born 13 April 1951, Essex, England) is an English people, English record producer, Audio engineering, audio engineer and Mixing engineer, mixer. Eugeniusz Rudnik (28 October 1932 – 24 October 2016) was a modern Polish composer, electronics engineer and sound engineer and a pioneer of electronic and electro-acoustic music in Poland. Early life Rudnik was born on 28 October 1932 in Nadkole. In 1967 he graduated from the Faculty of Electronics on Warsaw University of Technology. From 1955 he worked for Polish Radio, at first as the manager of plumbers, carpenters and painters. Stephen John "Steve" Osborne (born 1963) is a British record producer, living in Bath, England. He has worked with a wide variety of musicians, including Suede, the B-52s, A-ha, New Order, Elbow, U2, Happy Mondays, Placebo, Gregory Porter, Doves, KT Tunstall, Vanessa Carlton, and Simple Minds.
