''Muggs Presents... The Soul Assassins: Chapter I'' is the first studio album by American hip hop collective Soul Assassins. It was released on March 4, 1997 via Columbia Records. Recording sessions took place at Larrabee Sound Studios and at Ameraycan Studios in Los Angeles, at The Hit Factory, at D&D Studios and at Chung King Studios in New York, and at The Hill. Produced entirely by DJ Muggs, it features contributions from B-Real, Dr. Dre, Goodie Mob, RZA, GZA, La the Darkman, MC Eiht, KRS-One, Mobb Deep, Infamous Mobb, Call O' Da Wild and Wyclef Jean. Soul Assassins is a hardcore hip hop project of Cypress Hill member and producer DJ Muggs. Isaac Lee Hayes Jr. (August 20, 1942 – August 10, 2008) was an American singer, actor, songwriter, and composer. Infamous Mobb, also known as IM3, is a hip hop group from Queensbridge, Long Island City, Queens, New York, United States, composed of members Ty Nitty, Twin Gambino aka Big Twin and G.O.D. Part III aka Godfather Part III. Mobb Deep was an American hip hop duo from New York City. The duo consisted of rappers Prodigy and Havoc. Aaron Tyler (born May 22, 1971), better known by his stage name MC Eiht (pronounced MC eight), is an American rapper and actor. Many of his songs are based on his life in Compton.
