Soukarya Ghosal ( bn, সৌকর্য ঘোষাল; born 7 June 1986) is an Indian filmmaker, director, screenwriter, illustrator and music composer. He is widely considered for his work in Rainbow Jelly, a food fantasy film for the children in Bengali Cinema. His first feature film was ''Pendulum'', bagged three awards in the 4th Mirchi Music Awards Bangla 2014 by Radio Mirchi. Ghosal made His second film ''Load shedding'' which he wrote and directed for Zee Bangla Cinema Originals, was a teenage love story set in the 90's. His film ''Rainbow Jelly'', a food fantasy film about an autistic orphan received Hiralal Sen Award and Rituparno Ghosh Memorial Award for Most Promising Director from West Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards. ''Sandesh'' ( bn, সন্দেশ, ) is a Bengali children's magazine. It was first published by Upendrakishore Ray in 1913 through his publishing company, M/s U. Ray and Sons. The original partners of the venture were Upendrakishore and his sons Sukumar and Subinoy. Its publication had to be stopped twice. The current phase is the third and longest running one, spanning more than 59 years. Beginning The magazine was first published from its office in 22, Sukeas Street. Subsequently the office and the press were shifted to the new building built by Upendrakishore at 100, Garpar Road. Upendrakishore's son Sukumar Ray went to Great Britain for advanced training in printing technology, and he joined as an active partner after his return. Satyajit Ray (; 2 May 1921 – 23 April 1992) was an Indian director, screenwriter, documentary filmmaker, author, essayist, lyricist, magazine editor, illustrator, calligrapher, and music composer. ''The New Indian Express'' is an Indian English-language broadsheet daily newspaper published by the Chennai-based Express Publications. West Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards commonly referred as WBFJA Awards, is given by The West Bengal Film Journalists' Association. The association was founded in 2013 in Kolkata. The award show is called ''Cinemar Somaborton'' (). Overview WBFJA can be called the successors of BFJA the oldest association of film critics in India, which was founded in 1939. BFJA used to felicitate Indian Cinema every year. In 2013, the last BFJA Awards were held in Kolkata, same year as the WBFJA was founded. Rituparno Ghosh
Rituparno Ghosh (31 August 1963 – 30 May 2013) was an Indian film director, actor, writer and lyricist. After pursuing a degree in economics, he started his career as a creative artist at an advertising agency. He received recognition for his second feature film ''Unishe April'' which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film. Having won 19 National Awards, along with his contemporaries Aparna Sen and Goutam Ghose, Rituparno heralded contemporary Cinema of West Bengal, Bengali cinema to greater heights. Ghosh died on 30 May 2013 in Kolkata after a heart attack. Ghosh was also one of the openly homosexual personalities in Indian cinema.
