The Sossego Forest Biological Station ( pt, Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural Estação Biológica da Mata do Sossego) is a private natural heritage reserve in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The land is owned privately and may be used for research, education, eco-tourism and recreation. Cariniana Legalis
''Cariniana legalis'' is a species of emergent rainforest tree in the Monkeypot family Lecythidaceae. It is found in the Atlantic forest of south-eastern Brazil, where is known as jequitibá-branco or jequitibá-rosa, and possibly found in Colombia, and Venezuela. These trees can be very large. A C. legalis measured by botanical explorer David Fairchild was in circumference with no buttresses at six feet (two meters) above ground. One of the biggest trees in the Atlantic Forest, there are some old trees in Santa Rita do Passa Quatro and near Petrópolis. One of these trees is more than 3 000 years old. Caratinga is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in eastern Minas Gerais state, Brazil. The population in 2020 was 92,603 inhabitants and the total area of the municipality was 1,251 km2. The black-fronted titi monkey (''Callicebus nigrifrons'') is a species of titi, a type of New World monkey. The black-fronted titi is a small diurnal primate. The body of this primate is covered in grey to brown fur with black fur concentrated around the face, the tail is slightly orange in color. Body weight ranges from 1 to 2 kilograms and the head-body length is around 270 to 450 millimeters. This species does not exhibit sexual dimorphism. Members of this species can live up to 12 years of age in captivity.
