Sophie Bevan
Sophie Anna Magdalena Bevan (born 1983) is a British soprano appearing in concerts, recitals, and opera. Early life Bevan was born in London. She graduated from the Benjamin Britten International Opera School where she studied as a Karaviotis Scholar with Lillian Watson and was awarded the Queen Mother Rose Bowl for excelling in music. Career Her concert repertoire ranges from Handel to James Macmillan and she has worked with conductors that include Sir Antonio Pappano, Edward Gardner, Laurence Cummings, Harry Bicket, Sir Neville Marriner, Phillipe Herreweghe, Sir Mark Elder, Ryan Wigglesworth, Daniel Harding and Sir Charles Mackerras. Soprano
A soprano () is a type of classical female singing voice and has the highest vocal range of all voice types. The soprano's vocal range (using scientific pitch notation) is from approximately middle C (C4) = 261 Hz to "high A" (A5) = 880 Hz in choral music, or to "soprano C" (C6, two octaves above middle C) = 1046 Hz or higher in operatic music. In four-part chorale style harmony, the soprano takes the highest part, which often encompasses the melody. Gavin Carr is a British conductor and baritone working with major choruses in the UK and appearing in opera and concert in the UK and around the globe. Biography Gavin Carr is Music Director of the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus, Bath Minerva Choir, is Founder-Director of Chorus Angelorum and, since mid-2018, is Chorus Master of the Philharmonia Chorus. Paul Carr (composer)
Paul Carr (born 1961) is an English classical music composer. Born in Cornwall, he has been writing music since the age of 15. He studied voice at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and worked in opera stage management before concentrating on composing. He is the brother of conductor Gavin Carr. He has written a number of classical concertos, often in a lighter style including concertos for clarinet, oboe, flute, piano and viola. He has also scored several British films including '' Janice Beard 45 WPM'', '' Being Considered'', and ''Lady Audley's Secret''. Malcolm Martineau, OBE (born 3 February 1960) is a Scottish pianist who is particularly noted as an accompanist. Life Martineau was born to the pianist Hester Dickson Martineau and Canon George Martineau in 1960. He was an only child but he had several step siblings from his parents' previous marriages. He was born in Edinburgh, and educated at George Watson's College. Johann Baptist Joseph Maximilian Reger (19 March 187311 May 1916) was a German composer, pianist, organist, conductor, and academic teacher.
