''Soombe'' is a Tulu language film directed by Saikrishna Kudla starring Rahul, Shritama Mukherjee, Devadas Kapikad, Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Saikrishna, Prasanna Bailoor, Sunder Rai in lead roles and Sandalwood stars Srinagar Kitty, Bullet Prakash, Vaijanath Biradar in a guest roles. Soombe is produced under the banner of Sri Yajnadhya Productions by Kishor Kottari and Shwetha K Kottari. The film was released on 13 Mar 2015. Plot Described as a film within a film, the ‘masala’ story for Soombe revolves around a Kannada producer (Vaijanath Biradar) producing a Tulu cinema. The main theme of the story revolves around a financier who is after the hero (Rahul Amin) to recover the loan given to him. Meanwhile, the hero and heroine (Shritama Mukherjee) who are to perform as a pair in love in the film within film end up being attracted to each other in real life. Bhojaraj Vamanjoor
Bhojaraj Vamanjoor is an Indian actor, who predominantly works in Tulu theatre and Tulu film industry. Vamanjoor is also a Yakshagana Artist. He is one of the active members of the Tulu drama troupe ''"Cha Parka Kalavidher Kudla"'' along with Devadas Kapikad, Naveen D. Padil and Aravind Bolar. He can be seen in most Tulu plays directed by Devadas Kapikad. Shritama Mukherjee
Shritama Mukherjee (born 3 November 1993) is an Indian television actress. She is best known for her portrayal of Rajkumari Jainandini in the show '' Dekha Ek Khwaab'' and Vinita 'Vinnie' Maheshwari. Mukherjee played the role of Mahi in ''Tashan-e-Ishq''. Currently she is the Founder, Editor in Chief And Creative Director of The Green Maven. Dr Devadas Kapikad is a Tulu film and theatre actor, director, writer, producer, lyricist and singer. He has also acted in some Kannada films. He owns a drama troupe called Cha-parka. Naveen D Padil
Naveen D. Padil (born 11 November 1969) is an Indian theatre and film actor who has performed in over a thousand plays mostly in Tulu language. Known widely in the circles of Tulu theatre from his acting performances as a "Master of Comedy and Tragedy", he is called "Kusalda Arase" (''The King of Comedy''). He is known mainly for his portrayal of comical characters. Padil along with Devadas Kapikad and Aravind Bolar formed a famous trio that appeared in Tulu comedy plays during the 1990s and early 2000s. Career Padil got his break in films with the 1993 Malayalam film ''Vidheyan'' directed by the Adoor Gopalakrishnan.
