Sonya Hedenbratt
Sonya Elisabet Hedenbratt Bolin (4 March 1931 – 5 April 2001) was a Swedish singer and actress. She was considered one of the foremost female jazz singers in Sweden. Hedenbratt's breakthrough as a jazz singer came when she performed at the Nalen jazz club in Stockholm in 1951. Throughout her career, she mainly worked in Gothenburg, where she was born and where she lived all her life. She was part of the cast for several of Hasse & Tage's variety shows, including '' Gröna hund'' and '' Gula Hund'', and she also worked with musicians such as Jan Johansson, Gösta Bernhard, Putte Wickman, Charlie Norman and Beppe Wolgers. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Hedenbratt performed together with Sten-Åke Cederhök in the televised popular revues (''buskis'') ''Jubel i busken'' and ''Låt hjärtat va me''. Jimmy Woode
James Bryant Woode (September 23, 1926 – April 23, 2005) was an American jazz bassist. He played and/or recorded in bands with Flip Phillips, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Coleman Hawkins, Nat Pierce, Sidney Bechet, Billie Holiday, Jaki Byard, Earl Hines, Jimmy Witherspoon, Clark Terry and Miles Davis. Sten-Åke Cederhök
Sten-Åke Cederhök (born Sten-Åke Carlsson) (30 January 1913 – 14 January 1990) was a Swedish actor and comedian. Cederhök was born in Småland but mainly grew up in Gothenburg. For much of his career he wrote and acted in popular revues while holding down regular jobs. Early on he became widely known around Gothenburg, but television made him more famous from the 1960s on. His most memorable television role was in ''Albert & Herbert'', which ran from 1974 to 1979 and reappeared as a special Christmas series in 1982. Örgryte
Örgryte is one of the 21 ''stadsdelsnämndsområden'' (a kind of district often translated as borough) of Gothenburg Municipality, Sweden. It is a largely upper middle class residential area, just to the east of the city centre. It has a population of 33,539 (2004), and covers an area of 10.67 square kilometres. History The original village of Örgryte is much older than the city of Göteborg, with construction in the area predating Göteborg. The original parish being much larger was subsequently absorbed by the city in a gradual process lasting from 1882 to 1922. Construction in the area predates the surrounding areas. Liseberg
Liseberg is an amusement park located in Gothenburg, Sweden, that opened in 1923. It is one of the most visited amusement parks in Scandinavia, attracting about three million visitors annually. Among the noteworthy attractions is the wooden roller coaster Balder, twice (2003 and 2005) voted as the ''Best Wooden Tracked Roller Coaster'' in the world in a major international poll. Moa Martinson, born Helga Maria Swarts sometimes spelt Swartz, (2November 18905August 1964) was one of Sweden's most noted authors of proletarian literature. Her ambition was to change society with her authorship and to portray the conditions of the working class, and also the personal development of women. Her works were about motherhood, love, poverty, politics, religion, urbanization and the hard living conditions of the working-class woman. Early life Martinson was born on 2November 1890 in Vårdnäs, Linköping Municipality.
