Sonni Ogbuoji
Sonni Ogbuoji is a Nigerian politician who was elected Senator for Ebonyi South, in Ebonyi State, Nigeria in the 9 April 2011 national elections. He was elected on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) ticket. He left the senate in the 2019. Sonni hails from Ebunwana Edda in Afikpo South local government area of Ebonyi state. Ogbuoji was the local government chairman of Afikpo local government area during the military regime before the start of the Nigerian Fourth Republic. Ogbuoji was Commissioner for Economic Empowerment and Poverty Reduction in the government of Martin Elechi. In this role he supervised construction and stocking of 35 catfish ponds in an effort to provide youth employment. In November 2010 Ogbuoji, resigned from this post. He remained the Ebonyi coordinator for the Goodluck / Sambo Presidential campaign. Ogbuoji won 65,735 votes in the April 2011 senatorial election for Ebonyi South. Anyimchukwu Ude
Anyim Chukwu Ude (born 1 June 1941) was elected Senator for the Ebonyi South constituency of Ebonyi State, Nigeria, taking office on 29 May 2007. He is a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Career in broadcasting Before going to the Senate, Senator Ude had a career in the Nigerian Public Service spanning 42 years. He is a veteran journalist, broadcaster and administrator with vast experience in public service, especially in media matters. He entered the public service of former Eastern Nigeria as a clerk in 1960 and later joined the Eastern Nigeria Information Service, printers and publishers of ‘Nigerian Outlook’ in May 1965 as a reporter. Government College Umuahia, or GCU, is an independent secondary school for boys located on Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene road in Umuahia, Nigeria. Twenty years after the establishment of Kings College, the first government-owned high school, by the British colonial government, three similar public schools were founded in 1929.
