Sonia Marina Clarke (born 21 June 1965), better known by her stage name Sonique, is a British singer, musician and DJ. She came to public attention as a member of dance band S'Express during the early 1990s, but achieved greater success as a solo artist in the early-to mid 2000s. During this period she achieved UK top 20 hits with " It Feels So Good", "Sky", "I Put a Spell on You" and " Can't Make Up My Mind", and won the 2001 BRIT Award for British female solo artist. Biography 1965–1983: Early life Sonia Clarke was born and raised in Crouch End to parents of Trinidadian descent. The first record she ever purchased was Donna Summer's "I Feel Love". Sonique is an audio player for Microsoft Windows. Released as freeware, Sonique is capable of handling MP3, Ogg Vorbis, Windows Media Audio (WMA), and audio CDs. Sonique was in development until 2002. It was one of the most popular desktop audio players, second only to Winamp. The major features of Sonique include support for irregular skins, the ''audioEnlightenment'' MP3 decoding engine by Tony Million, innovative audio visualizations, and a 20 band graphic equalizer. History Sonique had roots in the lesser known Vibe MP3 player that Andrew McCann, Ian Lyman and Paul Peavyhouse created while studying at Montana State University. The trio called themselves Night55, a reference to the speed limit signs used in Montana. In 1997, Night55 sold the rights to Vibe to SGS Thompson for showcasing DVD features in COMDEX '98. Kylie Sonique Love (born May 2, 1983), formerly known as Sonique, is an American Entertainer, singer, dancer, model and reality television personality. She rose to prominence as a contestant on the second season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' in 2010, and achieved further popularity by winning the sixth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars'' in 2021. Kylie was also the first person to ever come out as transgender on any reality TV show and eventually became the first trans woman to win ''RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 6'' returning in 2021 after 11 years from competing in 2010.
