The Sonic Boom Over Europe Tour (full title: ''Sonic Boom Over Europe: From the Beginning to the Boom'') was a concert tour by American rock band Kiss in support of their 19th studio album Sonic Boom, which was released in October 2009. The tour started in Sheffield, United Kingdom at the Sheffield Arena in early May and concluded at the Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Dessel, Belgium in late June. The leg marked the band's first tour of indoor arenas in the United Kingdom since 1996, their first show in Ireland since 1988, and their debut concert in Slovakia. The group performed at a number of music festivals on the tour, including the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park Festivals, Sauna Open Air Metal Festival and Hellfest. "Deuce" is a song by the American hard rock band Kiss, written by bassist and vocalist Gene Simmons. The song appeared on Kiss' eponymous 1974 debut album. In addition to being one of the band's most popular and most-covered songs, "Deuce" is a traditional concert opener. The song has appeared on many Kiss live and compilation albums. Background According to Gene Simmons, he simply copied the bassline of the Rolling Stones' "Bitch" and played it more or less backwards. It was recorded in studio for the television program ''MTV Unplugged'' and released as part of a series of live and video albums. It is the first Kiss live album that is not part of the ''Alive!'' series. Overview On August 9, 1995, the band performed at Sony Music Studios in New York City for the TV show ''MTV Unplugged''. The Hot in the Shade Tour was a concert tour by American rock band Kiss (band), Kiss in support of their fifteenth studio album ''Hot in the Shade''. Background Following the Crazy Nights World Tour, Stanley had embarked on a solo club tour in 1989 while the band had gone on hiatus. The tour was set to begin earlier in the year, but was postponed to allow the second single from the album, "Forever (Kiss song), Forever", to be promoted as the first single, "Hide Your Heart (song), Hide Your Heart" did not make as much an impact.
