Sonia Ayaucán
Sonia Beatriz Ayaucán Ciudad (born 1 April 1969), also known as Sonia Ayaucán, is a retired Peruvian female volleyball player. She was part of the Peru women's national volleyball team. Ayaucán was a member of the Peruvian team that won third place in the 1986 FIVB World Championship. Four years later, she was awarded the prize for best receiver at the 1990 FIVB World Championship. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996.
