''Songs of Love and Death'' is the debut studio album by the German symphonic metal band Beyond the Black. It was released on 13 February 2015 through Airforce1 Records. The album was rereleased on 7 June 2019 through Austrian record label Napalm Records. Beyond The Black (band)
Beyond the Black is a German symphonic metal band formed in 2014 in Mannheim. Their debut album ''Songs of Love and Death'' became popular immediately after the release, and entered the German and Austrian national music charts. History The band was formed in 2014 in Mannheim, Germany by Jennifer Haben (vocalist, ex- Saphir). After finishing the production of Beyond the Black's first album together with her producers, Haben engaged Nils Lesser (lead guitar), Christopher Hummels (rhythm guitar/backing vocals), Michael Hauser (keyboards), Erwin Schmidt (bass) and Tobias Derer (drums) as live musicians. Philip John Taylor (21 September 1954 – 12 November 2015), better known as "Philthy Animal", was an English drummer. He was a member of the rock band Motörhead from 1975 to 1984 and 1987 to 1992, recording eleven studio albums and four live albums with the band. The Motörhead line-up consisting of Taylor, Lemmy and "Fast" Eddie Clarke is generally regarded as the 'classic' line-up of the band. Philip Anthony Campbell (born 7 May 1961) is a Welsh rock musician, best known as the lead guitarist in Motörhead from 1984 to 2015. The band disbanded upon the death of founder and frontman Lemmy.
