Songs From Instant Star
''Songs from Instant Star'' is the soundtrack for the first season of the television series ''Instant Star''. The entire album is performed by Alexz Johnson, who portrays the show's protagonist Jude Harrison. Throughout the run of the show, it’s official soundtracks coincide with Johnson's character's own fictional albums as she consistently works on her music during the storylines of each episode. Jude Harrison's debut album in the first season was self-titled, ''Jude Harrison''. Some original songs from the first season of ''Instant Star'' that were not featured on the soundtrack include, but are not limited to; the song "Frozen" co-written and performed by both Johnson and Joel Feeney in the show. The song "Shatter Me", co-written and performed by Johnson that can be heard in an episode, was also never released but years later, leaked in full online. Alexzandra Spencer Johnson (born November 4, 1986) is a Canadian musician, actress, and philanthropist. Her debut album ''Voodoo'' was independently released with her brother Brendan Johnson in 2010, followed by the demo release of ''The Basement Recordings'' in 2011, with its sequel, ''The Basement Recordings II'', and EP ''Skipping Stone'' in 2012. ''The Basement Recordings III'' was released in 2013. A follow-up extended play ''Heart'' followed in 2014; with her sophomore effort ''Let 'Em Eat Cake'' being released October of that year. The Salads are a punk rock band from Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, with strong reggae tendencies. They are currently signed to their own label, Maui Wowie Records, after having been signed to Kindling Music, a sub-division of Warner Music Canada. History The band started under the name Lynx when its members were elementary school students at Kettleby Public School in King Township, Ontario. School friends, drummer Grant Taylor and guitarist Dave Ziemba, started the group and soon added bassist Chuck Dailey to become a trio. Their early shows included local fairs and their elementary school graduation. Topper Headon
Nicholas Bowen "Topper" Headon (born 30 May 1955) is an English drummer, best known as the drummer of punk rock band the Clash. Known for his instrumental contributions to the drumming world, Headon was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the rest of The Clash in 2003. He joined the Clash in 1977 and became famed for his drumming skills. He received his nickname owing to his resemblance to Mickey the Monkey from the '' Topper'' comic. Early life Headon spent his early childhood in Crockenhill, northwest Kent, before attending Dover Grammar School for Boys. Paul Gustave Simonon (; born 15 December 1955) is an English musician and artist best known as the bassist for the Clash. More recent work includes his involvement in the supergroup the Good, the Bad & the Queen and playing on the Gorillaz album '' Plastic Beach'' in 2010, which saw Simonon reunite with The Clash guitarist Mick Jones and Blur frontman Damon Albarn – and which also led to Simonon becoming the live band's touring bassist for Gorillaz's Escape to Plastic Beach Tour.
