Emil Sonderegger
Emil Sonderegger (born 28 November 1868 in Herisau – died 15 July 1934) was a Swiss military officer who later became involved in the country's far right political scene. John Lasarus Williams (29 October 1924 – 15 June 2004), known as John L, was a Welsh nationalist activist. Williams was born in Llangoed on Anglesey, but lived most of his life in nearby Llanfairpwllgwyngyll. In his youth, he was a keen footballer, and he also worked as a teacher. His activism started when he campaigned against the refusal of Brewer Spinks, an employer in Blaenau Ffestiniog, to permit his staff to speak Welsh. Katherine Sonderegger is William Meade Chair in Systematic Theology at Virginia Theological Seminary. Biography Sonderegger received her AB in Medieval Studies from Smith College (1972), an M.Div. (Biblical Studies, 1976) and STM (Theology, 1984) at Yale Divinity School, and a Ph.D. from Brown University in Western Religious Thought (1990). Her Ph.D. dissertation was revised and published as ''That Jesus Christ was Born a Jew: Karl Barth's Doctrine of Israel'' (1992). She has taught at Middlebury College (1987–2002) and Bangor Theological Seminary (1993–1996) and, since 2002, at Virginia Theological Seminary, where she became the William Meade Professor in 2014. She was ordained a minister of the United Church of Christ in 1977, but in 1993 confirmed into the Episcopal Church and ordained a deacon and a priest in 2000. Urs "Ursinho" Sonderegger (born 28 April 1964 in Glarus) is a Swiss entrepreneur and racing driver. He currently competes in the World Touring Car Championship, driving a BMW 320 TC for the Wiechers-Sport team. Sonderegger runs an architecture and property firm called Atelier2000 Look GmbH. Cortis & Sonderegger is a collaborative team of two Swiss artists, Jojakim Cortis and Adrian Sonderegger. They are best known for their photographs of their physical recreations of famous photographs. Life Cortis was born in 1978 in Aachen, Switzerland. Sonderegger was born in 1980 in Bülach, Switzerland. Since 2001 they have lived and worked in Zurich, Switzerland. Their collaboration began in 2005 while they were students at the Zurich University of the Arts. Work The duo are best known for their physical representations of famous photographs, titled ''Icons'' and begun in 2012. The recreations involve the use of precision model-making to create three-dimensional miniature dioramas of the scene in the original photograph.
