Son Of G Rap
''Son of G Rap'' is a collaborative album by hip hop artists 38 Spesh and Kool G Rap. The two rappers first worked together in 2014, when they released the DJ Premier-produced cut entitled "The Meeting" (which is also featured on this album). However, they would not finish their entire project until four years later, in 2018. The project was first announced by 38 Spesh on social media on April 1, 2018. The album had a soft release on July 6, 2018, only being available on websites such as Bandcamp and YouTube and Hip Hop DX ''HipHopDX'' is an online magazine of hip hop music criticism and news. Justin Harrell (born December 29, 1984), better known by his stage name 38 Spesh, is an American rapper and producer. Biography Early life and career beginnings 38 Spesh was born on December 29, 1984 in Rochester, New York and began rapping in the early 2000s. He began making appearances on Sirius XM show Invasion Radio hosted by fellow Rochester native DJ Green Lantern in 2008 and was featured in XXL Magazine for his music in 2009. Shortly after his initial breakthrough, 38 Spesh spent two years incarcerated and was paroled to Atlanta, Georgia where he began to pursue a full-time career in music. Following his release, Spesh began releasing several notable mixtapes and albums with other artists affiliated with his Trust Comes First Music group. Spesh's musical style is highlighted by one of the most unique rapping voices in the game and his strong punchlines. Cory McKay (born December 3, 1970), better known by his stage name Cormega, is an American rapper who attained notice when he was shouted out by Nas on his song "One Love", from the critically acclaimed 1994 album ''Illmatic''. The album was released during Cormega's time in prison, but the mention sparked his career and created anticipation for his own rapping. Early life Cormega was born in Brooklyn, New York City, and raised in Queens. He was childhood friends with Nas, Havoc and Capone, who all went on to become successful rappers. Fredrick Jamel Tipton (born June 14, 1982), better known by his stage name Freddie Gibbs, is an American rapper from Gary, Indiana.
