Sompote Saengduenchai ( th, สมโพธิ แสงเดือนฉาย; ; 24 May 1941 – 26 August 2021), internationally known as Sompote Sands, was a Thai film director, special effects creator and producer best known for directing several Thai films especially ''tokusatsu'' (special effects-based) genre or monster films such as '' The 6 Ultra Brothers vs. the Monster Army'', '' Jumborg Ace & Giant'', the illegally produced '' Hanuman and the Five Riders'', the 1980 cult classic ''Crocodile'', '' Phra Rod Meree'' and the 1985 fantasy monster film '' Magic Lizard''. He was the founder and owner of Chaiyo Productions based in Bang Pa-in, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. Amphoe Phra Pradaeng
Phra Pradaeng ( th, พระประแดง, ) is a district (''amphoe'') of Samut Prakan province in Thailand. History Phra Pradeang was the original center of the area south of Bangkok near the mouth of the Chao Phraya River. Originally named ''Nakhon Khuan Khan'' (นครเขื่อนขันธ์), it was settled by Mon people. In 1815, King Rama II built the Pom Phlaeng Faifa Fort at the river's bend. James Harrison Wilson Thompson (March 21, 1906 – March 26, 1967 disappeared) was an American businessman who helped revitalise the Thai silk industry in the 1950s and 1960s. At the time of his disappearance he was one of the most famous Americans living in Asia. ''Time'' magazine claimed he "almost singlehanded(ly) saved Thailand's vital silk industry from extinction". Early life Jim Thompson was born in Greenville, Delaware in 1906. He was the youngest of five children of Henry and Mary Wilson Thompson. His father was a wealthy textile manufacturer; his mother was the daughter of James Harrison Wilson (1837–1925), a noted Union general during the American Civil War. Khun Chang Khun Phaen
''Khun Chang Khun Phaen'' ( th, ขุนช้างขุนแผน, ) is a long Thai epic poem which originated from a legend of Thai folklore and is one of the most notable works in Thai literature. The work's entire length is over 20,000 couplets. Khun Chang and Khun Phaen are the leading male characters, where "Khun" was a junior feudal title given for male commoners. The story recounts the adventurous and amorous struggles of the three main protagonists. Much of their relationship can be described as a love triangle. Khun Phaen (dashing but poor) and Khun Chang (rich but ugly) compete for the lovely Wanthong from childhood for over fifty years. Their stories transpire amid the larger backdrop of national events, including two wars, several abductions, a suspected revolt, an idyllic sojourn in the forest, two court cases, trial by ordeal, jail, and treachery. ''Ka Kee'' ( th, กากี) or ''Unfaithful '' is a 1980 Thai fantasy film based on the classical versified in ''Kaki Klon Suphap'' ( th, กากีกลอนสุภาพ) written by Thai classical poet Chao Phraya Phrakhlong (Hon) ( th, เจ้าพระยาพระคลัง (หน)) (c. 1740s - 1805), part of Thai folklore. The film was directed by Nerramitr and became one of the most famous Thai fantasy films of the year. A fotonovela based on scenes of the movie was also printed. is the titular superhero of a tokusatsu science fiction/kaiju/superhero TV series. Produced by Tsuburaya Productions, the show was broadcast on Mainichi Broadcasting System from January 17 to December 29, 1973, with a total of 50 episodes.
