Somewhere Between A Rock And A Hard Place
''Somewhere Between a Rock and a Hard Place'' is the second studio album by Swedish singer and songwriter Erik Grönwall who had won the Swedish '' Idol'' title in 2009. The album followed his successful debut studio album ''Erik Grönwall'', released soon after his win. The album is a pop rock album that was released in June 2010 through Sony Music. The album release was preceded by the release of the single, "Crash and Burn", in April 2010, a cover version of a song by Magnus Bäcklund. Grönwall co-wrote some of the songs on the album, but also relied on the cooperation of other writers as well. "Uphill Climb" and "Breathe In Breathe Out" were composed by Grönwall, and "Destination Anywhere" and "Walls Are Coming Down" are co-written by him and Johan Becker. The title track, "Somewhere Between a Rock and a Hard Place", was written by Nicke Borg. There are songs also from Paul Stanley ("Timeless") and Joey Tempest ("Take Me On"). Erik Grönwall
Per Erik Magnus Grönwall (born 3 December 1987) is a Swedish hard rock and heavy metal singer. In 2009, he won the Swedish ''Idol'' reality television. During several of the shows, he received standing ovations from the jury for his performances. His first single, " Higher", sold gold on digital downloads after only three days. His debut album, self-titled ''Erik Grönwall'', was released just ten days after the finals and debuted at number one on the Swedish albums chart and was certified platinum. In 2012, Grönwall joined rock band H.E.A.T as lead singer. Altogether as a solo artist and band member, Grönwall has numerous top 40 hits. In 2018, he portrayed Simon Zealotes in the NBC live television concert production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's ''Jesus Christ Superstar'', in which he received Grammy nomination for in the Best Musical Theater Album category. Marion Raven
Marion Elise Ravn (born 25 May 1984), better known abroad as Marion Raven, is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Raven formed the pop duo M2M with Marit Larsen, though they ceased performing together in 2002. Raven was later signed as a solo artist by Atlantic Records with the release of her solo debut album, '' Here I Am'' in 2005.
