"Something Is Not Right with Me" is a song by American indie rock band Cold War Kids. It serves as the fourth track and debut single off their second album ''Loyalty to Loyalty'' (2008). The song was released online in July 2008 by the band on their Myspace page. It was given an official release on September 1, 2008, on iTunes. Lyrically, it describes a person facing a dilemma about living in a world that's constantly changing. "Something Is Not Right with Me" received a mixed response from critics. Cold War Kids is an American alternative rock band from Long Beach, California. Band members are Nathan Willett (vocals, piano, guitar), Matt Maust (bass guitar), David Quon (guitar, backing vocals), Matthew Schwartz (keyboards, backing vocals, guitar, percussion), and Joe Plummer (drums, percussion). The 2008 Triple J Hottest 100 was announced on Australia Day, 26 January 2009. It was the sixteenth countdown of the most popular songs of the year, as chosen by the listeners of Australian radio station, Triple J. 2008 was also the first year of the countdown where Triple J made public the full list of songs that did not make the list proper. Coined as the "Hottest 200", the list was released online shortly after the main countdown. Voting commenced on Boxing Day, 26 December 2008, and closed on 18 January 2009.
