Something Good (Utah Saints Song)
"Something Good" is a song by English electronic music duo Utah Saints. It was first included as the opening song on a seven-track EP titled ''Something Good'', then later included on their debut album, ''Utah Saints'' (1992). The song contains a vocal sample from Kate Bush's "Cloudbusting", which had been a top-20 UK hit in 1985. Issued as a single on 25 May 1992, it reached number four on the UK Singles Chart as well as number seven on the US ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Club Play chart. The BBC used the song during its coverage of the Opening Ceremony of the Barcelona Olympic Games of 1992 and was also used for Carlton Television's pre-launch trailer. Ian Harshman (September 13, 1975 – August 19, 2021), better known by his stage name Ian Carey, was an American house DJ, musician, and record producer based in Miami, Florida. Biography Carey grew up in Hancock, Maryland, graduating from Hancock Middle-Senior High School in 1993. His father was a live sound engineer and ran a sound reinforcement company; he had engineered for such groups as Kool & The Gang and The Duke Ellington Orchestra. Carey became involved with dance music while in college. Lincoln Barrett (born 18 September 1979), better known by the stage name High Contrast, is a Welsh electronic music producer, DJ and record producer. He produces drum and bass music, and his 2009 album ''Confidential'' reached BPI gold certification (100,000 units sold in the UK). A maxi single or maxi-single (sometimes abbreviated to MCD or CDM) is a music single release with more than the usual two tracks of an A-side song and a B-side song. The first maxi singles Mungo Jerry's first single, "In the Summertime" was the first maxi single in the world. The running man is a street dance, consisting of "shuffling" and sliding steps, imitating a stationary runner. The dancer takes steps forward, then slides the foot placed in front backwards almost immediately, while moving their fists forwards and back horizontally in front of them. The fad dance was said to have been started in the mid-1980s. Notable performers of the dance were MC Hammer, Janet Jackson, Five Star, Selena, Milli Vanilli and Vanilla Ice during their live concert shows and in music videos.
