Somerset Senior Cup
The Somerset Senior Cup is an annual rugby union knock-out club competition organised by the Somerset Rugby Football Union. First contested between 1906-07 and 1913-14, it was reintroduced during the 1970–71 season, with the winners being Bath Rugby, Bath. It is the most important rugby union cup competition in Somerset, ahead of the Somerset Senior Vase, Somerset Vase. The Senior Cup is currently open to club sides based in Somerset and parts of Bristol who play between tier 4 (National League 2 South) and tier 7 (Tribute Western Counties North) of the English rugby union system, English rugby union league system. A non-league 2nd XV from the University of Bath has also taken part in the competition in recent years but this is the only 2nd team to take part as the Senior Cup is only open to 1st teams. Weston-super-Mare Rugby Football Club is an England, English rugby union team based in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. The club runs five senior teams, including a colts and veterans side and the full range of junior teams The first XV play in South West Premier, a level five league in the English rugby union system, following their promotion from Tribute South West 1 West in 2017. Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club is an English rugby union team based in Bridgwater, Somerset and run two senior teams, a newly formed senior women's team, a colts side and a youth section featuring the full range of age-groups. The first XV play in regional rugby, currently in South West 1 West following relegation from National League 3 South West in 2012. The second XV play in Tribute Somerset Premier. Yatton
Yatton is a village and civil parish within the unitary authority of North Somerset, which falls within the ceremonial county of Somerset, England. It is located south-west of Bristol. Its population in 2011 was 7,552. The parish includes Claverham, a small village which was originally a farming hamlet. The origins of the village and its name are unclear; however, there is evidence of Iron Age hill fort and a Roman villa in the area. The arrival of the railway in the 19th century and more recent road building have led to expansion of the village with Yatton now acting as a home to many commuters, while also supporting manufacturing industry and commerce. Bath () is a city in the Bath and North East Somerset unitary area in the county of Somerset, England, known for and named after its Roman-built baths. At the 2021 Census, the population was 101,557. Bath is in the valley of the River Avon, west of London and southeast of Bristol. The city became a World Heritage Site in 1987, and was later added to the transnational World Heritage Site known as the "Great Spa Towns of Europe" in 2021. It was listed in the Domesday Book as ''Cainesham'' (as it is pronounced), which is believed to mean the home of Saint Keyne.
