Solveig Vitanza
Solveig Vitanza (born 10 July 1982) is a Norwegian research advisor and politician for the Labour Party. Biography Vitanza was elected deputy representative to the Storting from the constituency of Østfold for the period 2021–2025, for the Labour Party. She replaced Jon-Ivar Nygård in the Storting from 2021 while Nygård is government minister. In the Storting, she is a member of the Standing Committee on Business and Industry since 2021. Vitanza hails from Halden, and has been member of the municipal council of Halden since 2019. Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. Østfold
Østfold is a traditional region, a former county and a current electoral district in southeastern Norway. It borders Akershus and southwestern Sweden (Västra Götaland County and Värmland), while Buskerud and Vestfold are on the other side of Oslofjord. The county's administrative seat was Sarpsborg. The county controversially became part of the newly established Viken County on 1 January 2020. Jon-Ivar Nygård (born 2 January 1973) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He has served as minister of transport since 2021. He previously served as the mayor of Fredrikstad from 2011 to 2021. Early and personal life Born in Borge, Nygård graduated as cand.mag. from the University of Oslo in 1998. Halden
Halden (), between 1665 and 1928 known as Fredrikshald, is both a town and a municipality in Viken county, Norway. The municipality borders Sarpsborg to the northwest, Rakkestad to the north and Aremark to the east, as well as the Swedish municipalities Strömstad, Tanum and Dals-Ed respectively to the southwest, south and southeast.
