Solveig Sundbø Abrahamsen
Solveig Sundbø Abrahamsen (born 13 September 1963) is a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. She was elected as deputy to the Parliament of Norway from Telemark in 2013, and was a full menber of the Storting drom 2017 to 2021. Personal life and education Born in Seljord on 13 September 1963, Abrahamsen is a daughter of farmer Anders Sundbø and nurse Aase Prestårhus. She is educated as preschool teacher from the Telemark University College. Career Local politics A member of the municipal council of Seljord since 1999, Abrahamsen served as mayor of Seljord from 2007 to 2013. She was elected member of the county council of Telemark for the period 2011 to 2015. Parliament Abrahamsen was elected deputy representative to the Storting from the constituency of Telemark for the period 2013–2017, when she met as deputy for Torbjørn Røe Isaksen, and was member of the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs. Seljord
Seljord is a municipality in Telemark in the county of Vestfold og Telemark in Norway. It is part of the traditional regions of Upper Telemark and Vest-Telemark. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Seljord. The parish of ''Siljord'' was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Seljord is famous for its sea serpent, Selma, who allegedly lives in Lake Seljord (''Seljordsvatnet''). The yearly Dyrsku'n market, held since 1866, attracts 60–80,000 visitors each year. The large fair started as a show of farm animals. Today it includes a huge market with vendors selling a variety of goods including base layer clothing, Bergans outdoors equipment, crafts, and food. Telemark University College (TUC, no, Høgskolen i Telemark, HiT) was, until its merger, the fourth largest university college in Norway. Torbjørn Røe Isaksen (born 28 July 1978) is a Norwegian politician, MP for the Conservative Party who served as Minister of Labour and Social Inclusion from 2020 to 2021.
