Civil Township
A civil township is a widely used unit of local government in the United States that is subordinate to a county, most often in the northern and midwestern parts of the country. The term town is used in New England, New York, and Wisconsin to refer to the equivalent of the civil township in these states; Minnesota uses "town" officially but often uses it and "township" interchangeably. K-63 is an approximately state highway in the U.S. state of Kansas. It is a north–south highway that serves small towns in the northeast part of the state. K-63's southern terminus is at U.S. Route 24 (US-24) in St. Marys and the northern terminus is a continuation as Nebraska Highway 50 (N-50) at the Nebraska border. A small section just south of Seneca and a few sections between Seneca and the Nebraska border follow the former Omaha-Topeka Trail.
