Spirit Of The Anzacs
"Spirit of the Anzacs" is the first single from Lee Kernaghan's 2015 album of the same name. The charity single features Guy Sebastian, Sheppard, Jon Stevens, Jessica Mauboy, Shannon Noll and Megan Washington. It was released on 22 January 2015 to raise funds for Legacy and Soldier On. "Spirit of the Anzacs" is the first taste of an album that has brought soldiers' letters to life in song. The project was inspired by Kernaghan's 2014 visit to the Australian War Memorial when he was shown archives of soldiers letters to family from the front lines. "Spirit of the Anzacs" is based on Paul Keating's 1993 eulogy at the interment of the Unknown Soldier. Music video The official video was released on YouTube via ABC Music on 26 February 2015. The video shows the singers performing their parts of the song in a studio, overlapped with various pieces of war footage and photos. Tim Knol
Tim Knol (born 12 September 1989 in Hoorn) is a Dutch singer-songwriter. Biography Knol was born and raised in Hoorn, where he started making music at the age of 10. Locally, he made an impression with the band ''Be Right Back'' in which he sang and played guitar. While playing in that band, he also worked on various side projects and recorded a couple of solo tracks. In May 2008 he played at ''De avond van het kippenvel'' in Utrecht, where he came in contact with Anne Soldaat, formerly of Daryll-Ann. Together they recorded some demos for Excelsior Recordings. In May 2009 he decided to quit his band, and start a solo career. In June 2009 the first result from his solo career, a cover version of Godley & Creme's Cry, appeared on the online compilation album ''Guilty Pleasures''. ''Dig Out Your Soul'' is the seventh and final studio album by English Rock music, rock band Oasis (band), Oasis. It was released on 6 October 2008 by Big Brother Recordings. The album was recorded between August and December 2007 at Abbey Road Studios in London, and Audio mixing (recorded music), mixed in January and March 2008 at The Village (studio), The Village Recorder in Los Angeles. Production was handled by Dave Sardy who had previously produced much of the group's sixth studio album, ''Don't Believe the Truth'' (2005). Dogs (British Band)
Dogs was a post-punk-influenced indie rock band from London. They toured with Paul Weller (singer), Paul Weller and Razorlight. Their first album, ''Turn Against This Land'', released on 19 September 2005, was recorded at Sawmills Studio in Cornwall, produced by John Cornfield. It was released by Island Records and received critical acclaim from the UK press. It contained the singles "London Bridge/End of an Era" (double A-side), "Tuned to a Different Station" and "Selfish Ways", each charting in the UK chart top 40. The Temper Trap are an Australian indie rock band formed in 2005 by Dougy Mandagi, Jonathon Aherne, and Toby Dundas. In 2008, the group relocated from Melbourne to London. The band released their debut album '' Conditions'' in June 2009 to favourable reviews and commercial success; it peaked at No. 9 on the ARIA Albums Chart and into the top 30 on the UK Albums Chart. Sidewalk Prophets is an American contemporary Christian music band from Nashville. Their album '' These Simple Truths'' contained the single "The Words I Would Say" which is also featured on '' WOW Hits 2010'' and ''WOW Hits 2011''. Tall Firs
Tall Firs are an American, New York City based underground electric folk rock band, originally formed in 1990 by teenagers Dave Mies and Aaron Mullan in Annapolis, Maryland. Their album, ''Tall Firs'', was completed and released sixteen years later in 2006 on the independent music label Ecstatic Peace!. Tall Firs grew out of an over-the-phone collaboration between Mies and Mullan, school friends who lived too far apart to walk to one another's houses. Di-rect is a rock music, rock band from The Hague, the Netherlands, which was formed in 1999. The current line-up consists of Jamie Westland (drums), Frans "Spike" van Zoest (guitar), Bas van Wageningen (bass), Paul Jan Bakker (guitar) and Marcel Veenendaal (lead vocals). History 1999–2000: Formation Di-rect began in October 1999 when 15-year-old Jamie Westland asked his father Dick to help him set up a band.
