Solaris (novel)
''Solaris'' is a 1961 science fiction novel by Polish writer Stanisław Lem. It follows a crew of scientists on a research station as they attempt to understand an extraterrestrial intelligence, which takes the form of a vast ocean on the titular alien planet. The novel is one of Lem's best-known works. The book has been adapted numerous times for film, radio, and theater. Prominent film adaptations include Andrei Tarkovsky's 1972 version and Steven Soderbergh's 2002 version, although Lem later remarked that none of these films reflected the book's thematic emphasis on the limitations of human rationality. Plot summary ''Solaris'' chronicles the ultimate futility of attempted communications with the extraterrestrial life inhabiting a distant alien planet named Solaris. The planet is almost completely covered with an ocean of gel that is revealed to be a single, planet-encompassing entity. Terran scientists conjecture it is a living and a sentient being, and attempt to commun ...

Razzle Dazzle (album)
''Razzle Dazzle'' is the seventeenth album by Japanese rock band Buck-Tick, released on October 13, 2010. Graphic artist Aquirax Uno provided the illustrations for the album's cover. The limited edition came with a DVD of music videos and an interview. It reached number six on both the Oricon chart and Billboard Japan, selling 20,384 copies. With ''Razzle Dazzle'', Buck-Tick wanted to go beyond the straight rock "band sound" from their previous two albums. Incorporating elements of dance music, its title was taken from a song in the 2002 American musical film ''Chicago''. " Dokudanjō Beauty" was used as the second ending theme song for the Japanese airing of ''Battlestar Galactica''. This album version features Lucy, vocalist of the all-female rock band LAZYgunsBRISKY, singing the chorus. The single version of "Kuchizuke" was used as the opening theme for the '' Shiki'' anime. The anime also used "Gekka Reijin", as its second ending song. Track listing Personnel ;Buck-Tick ...

Solaris Books
Solaris Books is an imprint which focuses on publishing science fiction, fantasy and dark fantasy novels and anthologies. The range includes titles by both established and new authors. The range is owned by Rebellion Developments and distributed to the UK and US booktrade via local divisions of Simon & Schuster. History Solaris Books was founded in February 2007 by BL Publishing, to trade alongside their existing licence-based imprint the Black Library, and the then-existing Black Flame imprint. When asked why BLP had started the new imprint, Consulting Editor George Mann stated that "...between... the major corporate publishers... and... the small and independent press... there seems to be little or no room left for the midlist," and that Solaris would provide a mass-market platform for up-and-coming writers, or established writers with smaller readerships. In September 2009, it was announced that Solaris Books had been bought by Rebellion Developments, who also publish c ...
