Depravity's Demise
''Depravity's Demise'' is the debut of melodic death metal band Solamors. The band recorded the album with Jon Star, former Lead Guitarist for Becoming the Archetype, which Vocalist Jason Wisdom and Guitarist/Bassist/Keyboardist Alex Kenis were also a part of. Critical reception Rob Houston of HM Magazine states:"If you are a fan of The Burial, Dream Theater, Animals As Leaders, Amon Amarth (or if you’re just missing Becoming the Archetype), you are going to be a very happy camper. This is a great end of the year release for the metal genre." Lee Brown of Indie Vision Music reports:"Although Becoming the Archetype have produced a pretty solid album with their new lead singer, there is something inside that just clamors for Jason Wisdom’s touch. If you feel that void in your life, Solamors is the answer. Composed of two of BTA’s former members (singer and guitarist), Solamors brings a sound that blends a heavy dose of ''Celestial Completion'' together with ''Dichotomy'' an ...

Jason Wisdom
Jason Wisdom is the lead vocalist and bass guitarist for the Christian progressive death metal band Becoming the Archetype. Though he was born and raised in a Christian home, he states that he was never committed to Christianity until high school. He considers his music as a form of ministry, but wishes to avoid a "preachy" stereotype. His influences include Extol, Living Sacrifice, and Mortification among others. Wisdom notes that even though his music is Christian metal, many of his fans are not Christians and are many times the ones who defend his music. Wisdom left the band in late November 2011 to take care of his family. Though current 7 Horns 7 Eyes frontman, JJ Polachek, tried out, Wisdom was replaced by former live fill in, Chris McCane. He has recently started a solo project titled Death Therapy, which features no guitars. He currently works for RYFO, a company that helps musicians with places to stay, meals and other such things. Screaming (music)
Screaming is an extended vocal technique that is popular in "aggressive" music genres such as heavy metal, punk rock, and noise music and others. It is common in the more extreme subgenres of heavy metal, such as death and black metal as well as many other subgenres. Genres Classical and experimental music Although screams are often suggested in stories performed in the grand opera tradition, they were never performed literally, always being sung. The first significant example of an actual scream in an opera is in Alban Berg's ''Wozzeck'' (1922), where the eponymous character screams "Murder! Murder!" in the fourth scene of Act III. Even more strikingly, Berg's unfinished ''Lulu'', written mainly in 1934, features a blood-curdling scream as the heroine is murdered by Jack the Ripper in the closing moments of the final scene. In Mascagni's 1890 ''Cavalleria rusticana'' the final line "They've murdered Turiddu!" is spoken, not sung, and often accompanied by a scream. Othe ...
