Soko (singer)
Stéphanie Alexandra Mina Sokolinski (born 26 October 1985), and known professionally as Soko (stylized as SoKo), is a French singer, songwriter, actress and dancer. She has been active since 2002. Soko released her debut single "I'll Kill Her" in 2007. It achieved airplay success in several European countries as well as Australia, being the No. 1 song on the Danish version of iTunes and peaking at No. 3 on the Denmark music charts. It was included on her first EP ''Not Sokute'' (2007). Her debut studio album '' I Thought I Was an Alien'' was released in 2012 and contains the single " We Might Be Dead by Tomorrow", which peaked at number nine on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Ensuing years saw the releases of her second and third studio albums ''My Dreams Dictate My Reality'' (2015) and '' Feel Feelings'' (2020). 2016 Cannes Film Festival
The 69th Cannes Film Festival was held from 11 to 22 May 2016. Australian director George Miller was the President of the Jury for the main competition. French actor Laurent Lafitte was the host for the opening and closing ceremonies. On 15 March it was announced that Japanese director Naomi Kawase would serve as the Cinéfondation and Short Film Jury president. American director Woody Allen's film ''Café Society'' opened the festival. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data. The project was born of PIlieva’s collection of photographs of herself and husband cinematographer Andre Lascaris kissing over the years of their relationship. It inspired the idea of capturing first kisses on film, and the idea came to life when Pilieva’s friend Melissa Coker, the fashion designer behind WREN, reached out about doing a film short to promote her Fall 2014 collection. Pilieva recruited 20 single friends, dressed in WREN, to meet and kiss for the first time on set as five cameras rolled continuously. Launched online on March 11, 2014, the three-and-a-half-minute short film went viral and as of May 17, 2014, had 59 million views. As of July 27, 2023, the video has over 151.7 million views.
