Softball at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara were held in between October 17 and 23. All games were played at the Pan American Softball Stadium. Pan American softball is competed by women only, while men compete in the similar sport of baseball. Each team can enter a team of 17 athletes for a maximum of 136 competitors for this tournament.Softball technical manual

The Pan American Softball Stadium is a softball stadium located in Guadalajara, Mexico. The stadium was opened in May 2010, and has a capacity of 792 spectators. The stadium was built to host the Softball at the 2011 Pan American Games, softball competition at the 2011 Pan American Games. It also hosted the 2010 Mexican National Olympics, and after the Pan American Games it will be used to host youth baseball and softball tournaments. The stadium has received very favourable reviews from both the United States women's national softball team and the president of the International Softball Federation. Keilani Johanna Ricketts Tumanuvao (born September 1, 1991) is an American softball pitcher for the Oklahoma City Spark of the Women's Professional Fastpitch (WPF). She played college softball at Oklahoma Sooners softball, Oklahoma from 2010 to 2013, where she was the starting pitcher and helped to lead the Sooners to the NCAA Division I softball tournament, national championship in 2013 NCAA Division I softball tournament, 2013. As a member of the United States women's national softball team she won 2011 World Cup of Softball. Ricketts currently plays for the USSSA Pride in the National Pro Fastpitch. She is the Sooners career leader in win (baseball), wins and strikeouts. Erin Cumpstone
Erin Cumpstone (born November 4, 1980) is a Canadians, Canadian softball catcher, former ringette player, and currently a National Ringette League coach for the National Ringette League#Saskatchewan Heat, Saskatchewan Heat. She began playing softball at age seven and studied at Simon Fraser University. Sports Softball Cumpstone was a part of the Canadian softball team who finished 9th at the 2002 World Softball Championships in Saskatoon and part of the Canadian softball team who finished 5th at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Ringette Cumpstone was also a ringette player and a member of 2010 World Ringette Championships#Team Canada, Team Canada 2010 during the 2010 World Ringette Championships where the team finished in second place to Finland. Taylor Hoagland (born 1991) is an American, former collegiate All-American, right-handed hitting softball player originally from Flower Mound, Texas. She attended Flower Mound High School and later attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a third baseman for the Texas Longhorns softball team. Amelia Jenae Leles (born January 28, 1987) is an American, former collegiate All-American, softball third baseman. She attended Rio Americano High School and the University of Arizona, winning two titles with the Wildcats during her years playing from 2006 to 2009. With United States women's national softball team she won 2011 World Cup of Softball. Jenae was named to the 2012 Women's National Team. She was also drafted number 6 in the National Pro Fastpitch. Ashley Kristina Holcombe (born February 20, 1987) is an American softball player who plays catcher for the USA national softball team. Holcombe is now in her third year with the Women's National Team. College Holcombe attended the University of Alabama, majoring in marketing.
