Sodhi Wala
Sodhi () are landlord people from Khatri or Kshatriyas clan from the Punjab region. Seven of the Sikh gurus, Sikh Gurus, from Guru Ram Das to Guru Gobind Singh were of Sodhi surname. In the Bachittar Natak Guru Gobind Singh wrote the origin of Sodhi clan and described them as linear descendants of Lava (Ramayana), Lava, one of the twin sons of Sita and Rama. Khatri
Khatri is a caste of the Indian subcontinent that is predominantly found in India, but also in Pakistan and Afghanistan. In the subcontinent, they were mostly engaged in mercantilistic professions such as banking and trade, they were the dominant commerical & financial administration class of Late-Medieval India some in Punjab often belonged to hereditary agriculturalist land-holding lineages, others were engaged in artisanal occupations such as silk production and weaving while some were scribes learned in Sanskrit and Persian too During the British colonial era, they also served as lawyers and engaged in administrative jobs in the colonial bureaucracy. Surinder Singh Sodhi is a former field hockey player from India. He is famous for playing a major role in getting India the gold medal in 1980 Olympic games after a gap of 16 years. He played in the center forward position. In the final against Spain, Surinder Singh Sodhi gave India a rousing start as it established a comfortable three-goal lead early in the second half. Double Trap
Double trap is a shotgun shooting sport, one of the ISSF shooting events. Participants use a shotgun to attempt to break a clay disk flung away from the shooter at high speed. The layout of double trap shooting is similar to that of trap shooting. The shooter stands 16 yards behind the house that releases the targets. Two targets are released simultaneously from the house. They follow set paths, usually 35 degrees to left and right of straightaway. The shooter can take one shot at each target. History In international Double Trap competitions, the course of fire is 75 doubles for both men and women. The men's event involves a 25-double final for the top six competitors. Ronjan Sodhi (born 23 October 1979 in Ferozepur, Punjab, India) is an Indian Double trap shooter. He won two silver medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and a gold medal at the 2010 Asian Games. Reetinder Singh Sodhi (born 18 October 1980) is a former Indian cricketer. He was an all-rounder from Punjab, was one of the options that Indian selectors had while looking for a quality players, who can bowl and bat. Murder Of Balbir Singh Sodhi
Balbir Singh Sodhi (1949 – September 15, 2001), a Sikh-American entrepreneur and franchisee in Mesa, Arizona, was murdered in a hate crime in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. This was the first of several cases across the United States that were reported to the police as supposed acts of retaliation for the attacks. Balbir Singh Sodhi, who had a beard and wore a turban in accordance with his Sikh faith, was profiled as an Arab Muslim and murdered by 42-year-old Frank Silva Roque (July 8, 1959 – May 11, 2022), a Boeing aircraft mechanic at a local repair facility who held a criminal record for an attempted robbery in California. Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi (born 9 January 1954) is an Indian Politician and a Bharatiya Janata Party Leader in Punjab and a former International Shooter. Shailender Singh Sodhi , commonly known as Shellee, is an Indian poet, film lyricist and writer. He commonly works in Bollywood. He was born in Chandigarh, India. Early life His father Himmat Singh Sodhi, is a poet and a writer. Shellee wrote poetry and stories from an early age.
